IMS founder and drum teacher Marton Veress named this Masterclass "The Blueprint of Drumming"with the intention to try to show some of the key essences of drumming every beginner and intermediate drummer should work on to become a better musician.

The masterclass focuses on 3 key factors:

Dynamics and Rudiments (Practice Pad)
Hand/Feet Coordination Exercises and Orchestration (Drumset)
Different Levels of Groove Creating (Drumset)


About Marton Veress:

Marton Veress, our esteemed founder and renowned drummer, embarked on his musical journey in 2012 after securing a scholarship at The Collective School of Music in New York City, a prestigious American music institution. His academic path continued with another scholarship at SUNY Purchase, leading to a diploma in Arts Management from the International Business School Budapest in 2016.

Marton's passion for teaching matches his dedication to performance. He has imparted his extensive knowledge and skills to students of all ages and levels at notable institutions such as White Oak Music and Arts and PA Studios in Los Angeles, and Kidz Rock in La Habra.

Marton's impressive career includes his time as a key member of Hungary’s leading heavy metal band, Pokolgep, and his international acclaim as the drummer for Armageddon, led by ex-Arch Enemy guitarist Chris Amott. His global tours have taken him from the United States to South America, Europe, and Japan.

In 2017, Marton relocated to Los Angeles where he collaborated with music industry giants like Jake Pitts of Black Veil Brides, producer Eric Ron, and Jay Gordon. His recent achievements include joining the legendary rock band Orgy as an official member in 2019, touring with Davey Suicide, and supporting acts like Assuming We Survive opening up for Sum41. Since 2023 Marton joined the International Metal Supergroup Til The End featuring Antony Hamalainen on vocals (Nightrage/Armageddon) Kostas Sotos on guitars (Crystal Tears) and Nic Svensson on guitar/bass (Slaves for Scores). Marton proudly endorses Paiste Cymbals and Artbeat Drumsticks, cementing his reputation in the music world.



The class takes place at Artist Factory Studios on May 2nd at 3PM in Room 2.
