This autumn, one of Hungary’s heaviest and most exciting metal bands, Red Swamp, celebrates its 10th anniversary with a truly unmissable show at Dürer Kert on October 3rd. For a decade, the band has been shaking the Hungarian metal scene with their massive riffs, raw energy, and unmistakable swampy groove.

And for us at IMS Budapest, this celebration carries an extra special meaning. Our very own vocal teacher, Greg Kovács, has been fronting Red Swamp since the very beginning, steering the band with his unmistakable voice and presence. His journey as a performer and educator has inspired countless students at IMS – and now his work on stage takes the spotlight in this milestone event.

But the IMS connection goes even deeper: the school’s founder, Márton Veress, also shares a history with the band. Márton recorded drums for Red Swamp’s acclaimed second album, Desertdrive, bringing his unique energy and precision to the record. To honor this collaboration, Márton will join the band live on stage at Dürer Kert as a special guest, performing three songs together with Greg and Red Swamp.T he anniversary show promises to be an unforgettable evening: an exclusive setlist, surprise guest appearances, stunning visuals, and of course, Red Swamp’s trademark explosive performance.

Sharing the stage with them will be Austrian melodic death metal band CroworD, as well as Budapest’s rising nu-metal stars, Icenap – ensuring that the night will be diverse, heavy, and full of surprises.For fans of Red Swamp, metal enthusiasts, and the IMS community alike, this event is more than just a concert – it’s a celebration of music, dedication, and creative partnership.
