We wrote and recorded a song together in 4 sessions!

There’s something special about what can happen in just four weeks when the right people come together with a shared creative goal. Our recent small-group songwriting course proved exactly that—bringing together a diverse mix of styles, personalities, and musical backgrounds into one collaborative space that quickly turned into something much more than just a workshop.

From the very first session, it was clear that this group had a unique chemistry. Each participant brought their own voice, influences, and ideas, creating a dynamic environment where experimentation felt natural and encouraged. Over the weeks, we explored the essential building blocks of songwriting—harmonies, rhythm, and lyrical storytelling—while always keeping creativity and self-expression at the center.

A highlight of the course was working alongside our guest lecturer, Kristóf Urbán, whose guidance helped shape the group’s ideas into something cohesive and memorable. He supported participants through every stage of the process, from developing chord progressions to refining lyrics, and ultimately recording vocals and guitar for the final track. His hands-on approach made the experience not only educational but genuinely inspiring.

What made this project truly meaningful was the personal nature of the song itself. The lyrics were drawn from real-life experiences shared by one of the participants, Lili, giving the piece an emotional depth that resonated with everyone involved. Watching those personal stories transform into music was a powerful reminder of why songwriting matters—it connects, it expresses, and it brings people closer together.

By the end of the four weeks, the group had created something they could all be proud of: a catchy, original song that stayed with us long after the final session. But beyond the music, the real reward was the sense of accomplishment, the shared laughter, and the creative bonds that formed along the way.

A huge thank you goes out to Li, Taria, Lili, and Janis for their openness, energy, and dedication throughout the course. And of course, we’re grateful for the warm hospitality of Artist Factory PróbaTerem, who continue to provide the perfect space for creativity to flourish.

This may be a wrap for now—but it definitely feels like just the beginning.
