Wrapping up the year at our winter recital at Mixat Stage!

On December 20th, we wrapped up the year in the best possible way with its Winter Student Recital at Mixát Stage. It was already our second time in 2025 at Club Mixát, and once again the place did not disappoint. The atmosphere was warm, buzzing, and packed with excitement – literally packed, because we had a full house of guests cheering on every performer.

First, the IMS teachers took the stage for a special treat: a 10-minute medley of famous pop songs. It was fun, high-energy, and a perfect way to open the concert. The medley ended with flashy solo sections on every instrument – piano, bass, guitar, vocals, and drums – reminding everyone that learning music is not just about practice, but also about joy, expression, and having fun together.

The evening featured 20 students taking the stage and performing a total of 10 pop and rock songs. From the very first note, it was clear how much progress everyone had made. Confidence, timing, tone, and stage presence were all on another level compared to earlier recitals. It’s always amazing to see how weeks of practice and dedication turn into real musical moments on stage, and this concert was full of them.

Each performance felt like a small celebration, with friends, family, and fellow students showing huge support. The energy in the room helped everyone shine, and the students rose to the occasion beautifully. Seeing their growth in playing abilities was one of the highlights of the night for both the audience and the teachers.

At the end, the IMS teachers took the stage again for the finale song, Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars and since Christmas is right around the corner, they surprised the audience with a funny 'Jingle Bells' section mid song.

All in all, it was a fantastic night at Mixát Stage and a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the year. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
