What if writing a song wasn’t about talent…
but about making decisions?
This 4-week interactive group workshop is designed to demystify songwriting and turn inspiration into action. Together, we’ll write, arrange, and record one fully original song — from the very first idea to a finished audio track.
No overthinking.
No over-theorizing.
Just learning by doing.

What You’ll Experience
Week 1 — Foundations & Ideation
We break apart real songs to understand what actually makes them work:
• Verse, chorus, bridge — what do they do?
• Tension and release
• Energy curves
• Why simplicity is powerful
Then we generate raw lyrical material through association games, image prompts, and collaborative brainstorming. No pressure. No “bad ideas.” In fact — we’ll even practice writing badly on purpose.
By the end of Week 1:
You’ll have the emotional and conceptual foundation of your group song.
Week 2 — Music & Structure
Now we build the sound.
• Explore chord progressions and mood (major vs. minor)
• Choose tempo, groove, and genre — together
• Create a loop-based sketch
• Turn spoken sentences into melodies
• Write a memorable chorus that says what the verse avoids
By the end of Week 2:
You’ll have a full verse, chorus, melody, and harmonic framework.
Week 3 — Development & Arrangement
We deepen the story and shape the emotional journey.
• Write Verse 2 with new perspective
• Create a bridge that introduces tension or doubt
• Experiment with vocal delivery and emotional intention
• Make arrangement decisions (drop? build? full band? minimal?)
You’ll learn:
• When not to play
• Why space is powerful
• How dynamics create impact
By the end of Week 3:
Your song is complete and ready to record.
Week 4 — Recording & Final Product
We bring it to life in the studio.
• Recording workflow basics
• Layering, takes, comping
• Performance over perfection
• Energy over technical flawlessness
We’ll record, listen back, reflect, and celebrate.
Final Outcome:
One fully written, arranged, and recorded original group song — plus optional lyric sheet and session notes.
